Things to do in St. Paul, Minnesota

The Cathedral has been the spiritual home for Catholics in the Twin Cities area since 1856 and is an important landmark on downtown's skyline. The distinctive twin towers are a familiar sight welcoming visitors into this iconic church that was designed by architect Ralph Adams Cram (1863–1942). With its Romanesque features, it includes many stained glass windows, fine sculpture and magnificent marble altars. It offers Mass throughout the day as well as Sunday morning worship at 11 o'clock with Choir and Liturgy of the Word followed by coffee hour after service where guests can visit our Gift Shop which provides clothes for the homeless, toys for children in need and a variety of religious items.

The Parade - Selby Ave NE & Western Ave: This annual event is the largest Pride celebration in Minnesota with over 15,000 participants including performers on two stages as well as family-friendly games throughout the day. Things to do at this festival include live music concerts, an international food court showcasing cuisine from around the world, marketplace events such as shopping or wristbands for rides and amusement park attractions (including carnival rides) along with various fun activities like face painting booths or balloon sculpting stations. This free public event is sponsored by OutFront Minnesota which promotes equality in our community through education programs focused on eliminating homophobia/transphobia so everyone can be out in public.

Union Depot - 222 E Wabasha St: Union Depot is a historic landmark that was the site of spectacular celebrations for troops returning from World War II. The depot, which opened in 1914 during its heyday, has been fully restored to provide visitors with an impressive passenger concourse and waiting room as well as plenty of retail shops, places to eat or grab a drink plus dining areas where families can gather before boarding their trains. While there are no longer train departures coming into this building (they now head out through Minneapolis) it's still possible to take one on a scenic ride around Minnesota including options like Amtrak's Empire Builder service between Chicago and Seattle/Portland while also exploring our regional destinations via Northstar Commuter Rail.

Uptown - Hennepin Ave & Lagoon Ave: This family friendly area is a perfect spot to grab some ice cream and people watch or take a stroll through Loring Park. The walkways are lined with trees, fountains, sculptures, benches and an expansive children's play area that make this one of the most popular neighborhoods for families living downtown. It also features plenty of shopping opportunities including boutiques such as Parisian Antique Market which offers eclectic home furnishings plus clothes from independent designers (all at bargain prices) while other shops provide clothing options like hipster jeans or shoes by local businesses alongside restaurants like Pizza Luce that serve up classic American dishes.

Minnehaha Park - 3600 46th Ave S, Minneapolis: Anyone who's in the Twin Cities for a while will want to make sure they visit this natural wonder that is one of Minnesota's most popular tourist destinations. Things to do at this park include picnicking, hiking and exploring its famous falls, which are surrounded by rocky outcroppings that provide shade during warmer months as well as picnic areas with views of the waterfalls. There are also plenty of activities available year-round including cross country skiing or snowshoeing when it snows (along with sledding hills) so visitors can enjoy outdoor winter sports too!
